Terms of Use and Rental for the Media Creativity Center

1. Booking and Rental

• Advance Booking: Please submit a booking request for one of the center’s halls or the podcast room at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability. The booking is confirmed upon payment of 20% of the total cost.
• Cancellation and Modification: Cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the booking time for a full refund. If canceled less than 24 hours in advance, 50% of the booking fee will be deducted.
• Usage Duration: The minimum booking period is one hour, with additional charges applied for exceeding the booked time.

2. Usage and Responsibilities

• Authorized Use: Photography, audio recording, video production, and live broadcasting are permitted, provided they comply with UAE laws.
• Content Responsibility:
  • The renter or producer is fully responsible for all videos, images, or other materials produced or broadcasted within the center.
  • The Emirates Journalists Association holds no responsibility for published content, which must comply with UAE laws.
• Use of Logos:
  • The Emirates Journalists Association and Media Creativity Center logos may not be used without prior written approval.
  • Unauthorized use may result in legal accountability.

3.Equipment and Facilities

• Center Equipment Rental:
  • The renter is responsible for any damage or loss caused by misuse.
• Personal Equipment:
  • If the renter brings their own cameras or equipment, the Emirates Journalists Association is not liable for any damage or loss. Renters must take necessary precautions to protect their belongings.

4. Equipment and Safety Maintenance

• Safety and Security:
  • Smoking, food, and beverages are prohibited inside the center to protect the equipment and facilities.
  • Renters must comply with safety instructions and emergency procedures.
• Cleanliness and Order:
  • The renter must leave the space clean and organized after use. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning charges.

5.Payment and Fees

• Payment Methods: Payments are accepted in cash or via bank transfer and must be completed before usage begins.
• Security Deposit: A refundable deposit is required and will be returned after confirming that the equipment and facilities are in good condition.
• Additional Fees: Extra services such as editing or special equipment requests are subject to additional charges.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

• Intellectual Property: The renter retains full intellectual property rights over the content produced.
• Brand Protection: The renter may not use the Emirates Journalists Association or Media Creativity Center logos or trademarks without prior written consent.

7.Disclaimer of Liability

• Content:
  • The Emirates Journalists Association is not responsible for any content produced or published.
  • The renter is legally accountable for all published or broadcasted materials, which must comply with UAE laws.
• Personal Equipment:
  • The center is not responsible for any damage or loss of cameras or equipment brought by the renter.
• Injuries and Damages:
  • The center is not liable for any injuries or damages sustained by the renter or their team during use.
• Technical Issues:
  • The center holds no responsibility for technical failures or power outages beyond its control.

8.Final Agreement

• Acceptance of Terms: Use of the Media Creativity Center and its services, including the podcast room, constitutes automatic acceptance of all stated terms and conditions.
• Signature Requirement: Renters must sign a rental contract confirming their acceptance of these terms before usage begins.
